Cards for Him Online Class Blog Hop!

StampNation's newest online class “Cards For Him” is now open for registration!  This is perfectly timed for Father’s Day which is right around the corner, but of course is great for masculine card ideas year-round.

Reverse Confetti is one of the sponsors of the class and some of the RC DT are participating in a blog hop featuring "Cards For Him" using Reverse Confetti!

There are so many categories of cards ideas in the class that it was very hard to choose one to share today.   I chose to work with one of the original Reverse Confetti sets:  Arrows 'n Elements and go with a Graphic/Grunge type card for my soon to be 'teen this year.

Using some of the newest Simon Says Stamp inks from their DayBreak Collection, I stamped the arrow image in stripes across my panel, stamped my #AWESOME sentiment, and splattered some Tattered Angels Silver Glimmer Mist just because there had to be something shiny on there!  hehe

thinking of you

Hi everyone!  I'm up over on the Neat & Tangled blog with a card using one of Neat & Tangled's first sets.......Fresh Blooms.  Please visit the Neat & Tangled blog for my full card!!

I adore these blooms and even more when they are layered.  I went with an emboss resist technique with Distress Inks and clear embossing powder.  I wanted my blooms to stand out on my card so I dry embossed my card base and a few coordinating lines on my bloom panel with my Scor-Pal.  Above my bottom score line, I added a sentiment from Just Thinking of You.

Just a Note

Happy Monday everyone!
It's going to be a beautiful week here in Kansas.......it better be, my garage sale is this weekend! :)  I've been busy cleaning the garage (with the help of my family) and marking the many, many tubs of things for sale.  I have hosted the sale for my neighbor and I for 8 years now!!  We always have a GREAT turnout....no advertising, just awesome location and prices!

I have a very springy card to share using some of the newest Simon Says Stamp goodies.  I wanted to use all pastels here and I love how it came out!  I used some Hero Arts White Pastel inks for the subtle stamping of the small butterfly from the Butterflies stamp set.

Here's a better closeup of the stamping and sentiment.  I am in LOVE with the hand drawn look to this font!!!!  (this sentiment is also from the Butterflies set)

That's all from me today!!!  Now to work the next 2 days and back to marking for the garage sale!  Wish me luck!

Thank you for ALL you do

With teacher appreciation upon us this week, I created a few cards for the teachers at the kids' school.
One of my favorite teacher stamp sets is Teachers Count by Verve.  I love the thick drawn lines to the artwork especially these apples.  I paired them with the Notebook Paper Plain Jane stamped in Charcoal Palette.  I die cut a few frames from the Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Mats: Rectangles and layered them over some adorable heart paper from Pen Pals by Pink Paislee.

Pretty Pink Posh Sequin Shaker Blog Hop!

Hello and Welcome!!!
You may have heard that there is a certain blog hop featuring Sequin Shakers.......I'm so excited to join in today with the rest of the DT for the Pretty Pink Posh Sequin Shaker Blog Hop as a Guest Designer!!!  The blog hop officially opens April 26th (today) and ends April 28th at 11:55pm PST.

Sequin shakers are surely one of the most fun types of cards to make......I mean really, who doesn't like to add sequins and fun things to a card?  Even better is that you can shake them!  All the product links are shared at the end of this post.  Just click and you can shop!

I chose to make a BIG shaker by using the Simon Says Stamp Full Card Mom Die.  I die cut the Mom Die from Doll Pink Cardstock from Simon Says Stamp and added a soft shimmer using Tsukineko Frost Sheer Shimmer Spritz.

4.26.14#2

I wanted my Mom Die to stay bold so I layered my panel onto a piece of adorable banner paper from Lawn Fawn's Hello Sunshine.  I seriously love this paper collection!

4.26.14

Last but not least the thing I added to make this a shaker??   SEQUINS by Pretty Pink Posh!  The colors  and types of sequins are amazing......my favorite are the cupped.  Here are the colors I added to my shaker:

Paulina has put together an amazing group of sponsors for today......check them out!

There is also a special coupon code just for the Pretty Pink Posh store!

Thanks so much for sharing a part of your day with me!!

Thanks!

I've been having some really bad arm, shoulder, and neck pain the last 3 weeks so crafting has come at a price lately!  But I did find some time yesterday to ink up some of my favorite Reverse Confetti stamps for a little challenge happening over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This is about as simple as you can get.......background stamping using Versamark and diecutting for embellishing!!  I've used the Petals 'n Posies stamp set with coordinating dies.  Seriously, my favorite Reverse Confetti set!!!  I also couldn't resist adding in some amazing clear 4mm sequins from Pretty Pink Posh too!

The DT are holding a blog hop to celebrate this month's release.  The hop starts today (Wednesday April 23rd at 8.00AM EDT) and ends on Sunday April 27th at 12:00PM EDT.

I chose to work with the Happy Hello Die and Happy Hello stamp set for my card today.  I can not tell you how much I LOVE word dies!  I wanted this word die to shine so I diecut and layered several "hello" diecuts together and then sprayed it with Heidi Swapp's Color Shine in Teal.

Hello

Adding a few drops of color and some random stars stamped with GOLD Delicata finished this off.  Just look at that shimmer and glitz!  <3 p="">

Stop and Go Blog Hop!

***If you are here for the new Clearly Whimsy Stamps release post, please scroll down!***

Welcome to the Stop and Go Blog Hop featuring inspiration using the Stop and Go stamp set designed by Miriam Prantner for Neat & Tangled stamps!  You should have arrived from Alexandra's blog to start the hop.

I wanted to do something a bit diffferent for "coloring" my stoplight.  I used some cheap watercolors to paint the colors onto some Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock.  This paper is the bomb!  I've used the smooth surface but there is also a textured side too!

Stop and Go1

After my cardstock dried, I stamped my stoplight image and sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  And just because......I splattered red across my image and I couldn't resist adding some Glossy Accents to my little heart die cut with the Mini Hearts Die from Simon Says Stamp.

Stop and Go2

Now it's time to check out the fabulous ladies that join me in this blog hop today:
