It's COLD outside!

Yes, It's Halloween and I'm posting all these wintery cards but it IS COLD OUTSIDE!  Yesterday, it was 70 and today.......46 and now we are going Trick or Treat.  Brrrrr.......So this is the attire I will be wearing tonight as we head out with our "Gypsy Princess".  Our son is now 12 going on 13 and he no longer wants to Trick or Treat......I am so sad about this!

I've used the adorable sketchy type stamps from the set called Winter Warmth from the Cold Hands Warm Heart release.  These images are perfect for paper piecing.  A technique that I don't do much anymore but I LOVE to do!  I don't mind the fussy cutting or the glueing of all the tiny pieces.  My background was stamped using stamps from this same set.....snowflakes in Audrey Blue and sentiment in Lavender inks from Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks so much for sharing a part of your day with me and Happy Halloween!!!

I used the new Sparkle and Shine stamp set for this one!  I adore this image of the string of lights.........reminds me so much of my childhood where I'd remember my dad hanging all of our outside lights and he would have boxes of them with bulbs just like these!  The string and lights were easy peasy to stamp!

AmySparkle

The best part of this card though is all the Glossy Accents that I added over each of the bulbs on the strand!  This certainly gives the card a "polished" look!!!

Lil' Inker Designs October Release: Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of the Lil' Inker Designs October Release!  You should have arrived from the  Lil' Inker Designs blog.   But guess what??  The whole new release is now available and can be found HERE!!!  What do you think of this release?  Amazing, right?  :)

There is even more new Lil' Inker Designs products I'm sharing today!  For my first card, I went for more of a bold timeless look.  I LOVE this new Baubled Christmas Tree die.  I chose to leave some of the diecut pieces intact and place 4mm, 6mm, and 8mm Sparkling Clear sequins in the holes!

AmyBaubled

A gold die cut star adorns the top of the tree to keep this simple.  I really like how the black stripes keeps this a modern look and classy with those sequins!  The sentiment is from the Instant Camera Christmas stamp set.

Ok....one more card for today!  Going a whole new direction.......I used the new Speech Bubble Dies Set.  It's a fabulous die set of 3 bubbles.....Here on my card, I've just used the speech bubble border paired with the I'm all You're stamp set.  I love how this set can used for so many different occasions....I made this as a congratulatory card  for a teen!

Clearly Whimsy Stamps October Release: Day 1

Hi everyone and welcome to the first sneak peek day of the Clearly Whimsy Stamps October 2014 release!!

Over the next 3 days we will reveal the new October 2014 Clearly Whimsy Stamps products. We are releasing 7 new clear stamp sets and 5 dies/die sets this week, and they will be available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store today and selected Whimsy Stamps retailers on Saturday.

This month we are thrilled to welcome Michelle Short and Lisa Henke as our Guest Designers. Welcome ladies! We are so happy that you are joining us for this release!

Today we are revealing the Penguin Fun 4x6” stamp set and Tremendous Triangles 4x6” stamp set, together with the coordinating Penguin Fun die set and the Tremendous Triangles die set. Hop on over to the Whimsy blog for more details.

When I started designing for this release, I couldn't wait to use Penguin Fun!  I started out by diecutting my penguin and stamping.  These images are perfect for those of us who don't like to color!  I did add a few details with Copics YR68, N1, and Colorless Blender.  Then I was on to create my background.  I sponged Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for my sky and added in stamped snowflakes from this set with white pigment ink.

AmyPenguins2

I created my snowy hills using the Stitched Border Trio Dies.  I coated my hills with chunky glitter from Martha Stewart.  My penguin was added with foam adhesive and I just think he is adorable skating down the hill!  The last detail was adding some Glossy Accents over the eyes!

Lil' Inker Designs October Release: Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Lil' Inker Designs October Release!  You should have arrived from the  Lil' Inker Designs blog.   But guess what??  The whole new release is now available and can be found HERE!!!

Are you ready for more snowflakes?  How about some watercolor snowflakes?  I started by smooshing Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress Inks on my craft mat and spritzed with water.  After diecutting the Cover Up Die: Snowflakes with Tim Holtz watercolor paper, all the pieces were left in tact and the whole panel was spritzed with water.  This panel was then pressed into the color on the craft mat.  What makes this so fun is you can leave some space white or add in more color!  (To speed things up, I used my heat tool to dry the panel and it made popping out all the diecut pieces a cinch!)

AmyCover

I knew I didn't want to cover up my watercolor snowflake panel, so I decided to die cut the word "Joy" using the Joy Die with DCWV glitter paper and layered it over a vellum panel.

Lil' Inker Designs October Release: Day1

Welcome to Day 1 of the Lil' Inker Designs October Release!  This release is HUGE and FULL of amazing holiday dies and stamps.......are you ready?  You should have arrived from the  Lil' Inker Designs blog.   But guess what??  The whole new release is now available and can be found HERE!!!

My first card uses the most delicate, gorgeous, snowflake stamps EVER from a stamp set called Cozy Winter Wishes.  I heat embossed the largest snowflake and sentiment with silver embossing powder onto a die cut tag from Anytime Tags Die Set.

AmyCozy

A snowflake card would not be complete without some Sparkling Clear Sequins!!!  Here's a close-up of the delicate detail in this snowflake stamp.

My next card uses a sentiment from a stamp set called Big Christmas.  This set just screamed to be made into a chalkboard card!  I white heat embossed the greeting onto black cardstock and then using my finger, smeared (for lack of a better term) my white pigment ink over the top of this panel.

AmyMagical

The chalkboard panel was cut using the new Border Builders Die Set and layered over some pattern paper.  I just love that Laura added her stitching detail to these dies!  A few silver glitter enamel dots and gray twine finish this off!
