Masculine love

Love theme

Hello!  Just stopping in to share a "love" themed card using some versatile Right at Home products from the last release.  Masculine cards are always hard to make.  Period.  I thought I would make a card to have on hand for my anniversary.

Using Pinterest, I came across this color story from an old Colour Q challenge and fell in love with not only the colors but the focal point of the colors.  So I recreated the heart using the large heart die from the Folded Sweetheart Die Set.

I started by laying varying strips of cardstock onto a sheet of printer paper and adhering.  Next, simply die cut using the heart die.  My heart was added using foam adhesive to a very simple background of coordinating grey cardstock.  The die cut sentiment from the Folded Sweetheart Die Set was done twice and layered for an offset look.

SugarPea Designs--Winter Sweet Peek Day 5

Carnivalscape

Hello!  I am excited to share the last projects I've been working on for the brand new release from SugarPea Designs!  With several new stamp sets, matching dies, and even a new paper product.......there's something you are sure to love!

All the 12 NEW products will be available for purchase starting this Friday, February 17th at 6PM EST in the SPD Store.

This card was so easy to put together using the Distress Ink blending technique for the sky using Black Soot, Seedless Preserves, and Salty Ocean.  I added some flicks of Picket Fence Distress Paint for the look of stars in the sky.  The Carnivalscape SugarCut was done in black and layered over the bottom part of the card.  A sentiment was white heat embossed to the lower right corner and a few blue star gems were added to the sky.

Popcorn Treat Box
My last project is a "mini card" using the new Popcorn Treat Box SugarCut and the Striped Background stamp.  I love making shaped cards and especially mini ones!  I used the Popcorn Treat Box die for the front of my card and stamped in red ink the stripes using my Misti stamping tool.  I die cut lots of popcorn and colored the tops of the popcorn with Y11 Copic for the look of butter.  These were tucked in between the front popcorn box panel and the folding mini card.

Today's set, What's Poppin'?,  features this adorable girl and her popcorn!  I Copic colored my image and layered her in a diecut circle focal point.  The circlular frame was made using one of the Zig Zag Stitched Circle SugarCuts along with a standard circle die to cut the center out making a frame.  The polka dot paper is from the new paper pad called Life is a Circus.

SFYTT with Reverse Confetti

SFYTT2

Hello!  I am here sharing a card using the current SFYTT (Sketch For You to Try) over at the Reverse Confetti blog.  Check out the SFYTT post......HERE for all the details!

I used one of my favorite Dawn Machell stamp sets called Coffee and You.  Instead of using the large image in the set, I focused on the smaller mice and doughnuts.  Just look how adorable they are!!  The background was done using the Large Eyelet Cover Panel done in Royal Purple cardstock.  Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts was used for the circular portion and Tall Tag Trio was used for the sentiment.  A few stacked doughnuts to the left cover up the tag's "hole".

Now the best part is.......there is always a winner every month!  Here are the details:

The winner will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store and claim the title of ‘Fetti Fave. The winner of SFYTT will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 30th of each month.

Stay Strong

Hello!  I am excited to share some of the projects I've been working on for the brand new release from SugarPea Designs!  Each day this week, we will be sharing inspiration using the new release.  With several new stamp sets, matching dies, and even a new paper product.......there's something you are sure to love!

I hope you'll join me here over the next 3 days as I share Sweet Peeks for the 12 NEW products that will be available for purchase starting this Friday, February 17th at 6PM EST in the SPD Store.

Stay Strong is a fabulous new set that is perfect for my weightlifting guys (aka. my hubby and son) and was a perfect Valentine!  I started by Copic coloring my strong man and diecutting.  I white heat embossed a sentiment on black cardstock.  I added a diecut stitched circle behind my strong man and then the images were layered onto a black Starburst Cover Plate where I inset some red, turquoise, and yellow back in the spaces and left some black.  I love the effect!
